Saath Phere is the story of a dark-skinned girl Saloni and her married life. She faces many problems in getting married due to the colour of her skin and finally marries Nahar, a Rajput. Nahar and
Saloni are happily married till Yug enters this family drama. Yug helps Saloni find a job as a singer who works for an audio company.Saloni is compelled to work to take care of her brother’s treatment. And, Nahar doubts the relationship between Saloni and Yug. Yug is sent to their household by some villain who wishes to separate Nahar and Saloni. But, who this person is and what his motive is forms the suspense of the story.
This unknown person has somewhat succeeded in breaking the trust that Nahar has on his wife to some extent. But, Saloni is at a loss to know why her husband is exactly angry with her. And, he wouldn’t tell her despite her continuous requests. But, I am sure Saloni will come out of this problem unscathed. She will certainly prove her innocence to her husband.
To make matters worse for Nahar, another character by name Devika has entered this drama who looks exactly like his first wife Chandini whom Nahar hates and who is believed to be ddd.Good going till now. But, one thing that puzzles me a lot is the financial problem of Saloni’s parents.
If they are really so poor, how can they afford to wear such expensive sarees and jewellery? And, what about the dressing of Saloni’s sister-in-law Kaveri? Her dressing is entirely new to the Indian bahu. I am sure no one has ever seen a married woman dress in this way and that too when married to a very traditional Hindu family. And, we are supposed to believe that Kaveri does all the household work in this dress. Very ridiculous.
Some of the things that Saloni does are not very practical e.g her working and taking care of all the household chores. This is certainly not practical.Sometimes, the dubbing given to Saloni’s voice is different from the voice that we hear regularly.Though this doesn’t happen often, I feel it should not be done as this distracts our attention while watching the serial.
And, the tricks that Shubra plays to win over her husband are very cheap. I am sure they will not work in the long-run. This gives a negative impression of the Indian woman. All in all, a good story. Let’s see what more twists and turns are there in this story.
